The Jungle is a luscious and vibrant scenery that commemorates the Artists' hometown Aklan, Philippines, a province that is known for its' beauty in culture and landscape. The artist was inspired by the rich and tropical scenery he saw as a child while riding a “Jeepney”, a popular mode of transportation used by the Filipino’s since its’ introduction in World War II. Each Jeepney is unique in its' ornamental paint design and throughout Philippine history, it has become a cultural Filipino icon and symbol of the creative spirit.
