Jason Zante is a Filipino-Canadian artist based in Toronto, Canada. With a multidisciplinary background ranging from large-scale mural installations to paintings and illustrations, his work explores nature's ephemeral and vibrant qualities, infusing sublime landscapes and compositions with energetic and alluring colours. The artist creates surreal worlds with a contemporary point of view where the simple and complex coexist in rich and saturated tones. Jason's compositions allude to visual metaphors to personify symbols, shapes, and plants, imbuing them with animistic meaning. He uses his imagination and personal photographs to construct his pieces in both digital and acrylic mediums.
He holds a B.DES in Graphic Design from OCAD University in 2020. He has created notable site-specific commissions such as a mural for The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto (2021), a 1200 square feet mural for Fallsview Casino Resorts in Niagara Falls (2022), and art billboards for Cadillac Fairview Toronto Eaton Centre (2021). Works by the artist are in prestigious and private collections, including TD Bank of Canada, Bentallgreenoak, Cboe Global Markets, Four Seasons Hotel and CIBC Pearson Airport in Ontario. His clients include Justin Bieber, The Globe & Mail, NBA Canada, Klick Health, Wattpad, Deciem, and the Government of Canada.
